Cancellation & Charging Policy

NSCP training course bookings must be cancelled with 72 hours notice to avoid a charge being made to your organisation.

To cancel a place on a course you must log back into the Learner Management System (LMS) and cancel your place.

Can a Colleague attend on my behalf?

Yes – Although we prefer you to cancel the place, a colleague can attend in your place. If you wish for a colleague to attend in your place, it is your responsibility to inform the trainer and sign in on the attendance sheet. You will also need to inform the Business Office via e-mail nscp@northnorthants.gov.uk to ensure they are sent an evaluation request and certificate.

Charges for non-attendance

The NSCP actively implement a charging policy for non-attendance at NSCP training sessions. For 2024 / 2025 the charges will be:

• £50 charge for non attendance at any training course.

Exceptions will be made in exceptional circumstances only, at the discretion of the NSCP.

Why is this necessary?

During 2017 there was a period where 15 courses were delivered with 355 places available. All of the places were booked in advance,but 64 delegates failed to attend the training sessions, leaving 18% of places available. All courses had waiting lists and all 64 of those places could have been filled if they had been cancelled in advance.
